Hogadon Basin Ski Area is a place like no other in Wyoming. Located just south of the city atop Casper Mountain, Hogadon Basin offers scenic panoramic views of downtown Casper all the way to the Big Horn Mountains. Hogadon Basin is family oriented and is now a year-round facility with a state of the art kitchen. As part of the Casper parks system Hogadon Basin is available for facility rental and is an amazing venue for weddings, business meetings, and more.

A Bit of History on Hogadon

In 1958, a consortium of volunteers put together a T-Bar and developed the slope we now call Hogadon Basin. The name comes from the Hogadone trail used by miners to haul ore of various types down the mountain. You are welcomed into the camaraderie of all those who have spent time together enjoying this mountain and skiing on the mountains early slopes like Nursery, Bumps a Daisy, Miner and the infamous racing slope Spillway.

Hogadon Basin Ski Area is owned by the City of Casper. The Ski Area is operated by the City of Casper. Hogadon Basin Lodge and all Food and Beverage Services are operated by OVG Hospitality. The new Lodge was erected in 2017 with the grand opening on November 4, 2017.
